You're registered for Peer Mentoring, now what?
Welcome to Thrive Peer Mentoring! The semester is now fully underway and we are excited to help you get the most out of your UArizona experience. The first step is to connect with your peer mentor.
Connect with Your Peer Mentor
You may have already received a message directly from your peer mentor to schedule your first one-on-one meeting--or you may have already met with them last week. Either way, the first step is to connect with your peer mentor using their Cat Cloud link. We recommend scheduling soon so you can find a time that works best for you.
You should have received a welcome email with your peer mentor's name, email and scheduling link. If you have not yet received this, please contact us at peermentoring@arizona.edu and we can ensure you are connected.
What to Expect During Your First Meeting
This first meeting will be an opportunity for your peer mentor to give you an overview of how the program will work.
FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS
- meet one-on-one every two weeks
- attend the HED 297A course that starts in September
- setting personal goals for the semester
- learning more about you!
SECOND-YEAR+ STUDENTS
- meet one-on-one once per month
- attend monthly group meetings starting in September
- setting personal goals for the year
- learning more about you!

Next Steps
The last step is getting set for your HED297A course (first-year students), or your monthly group meetings (second-year and beyond students).
FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS
You may receive some messages from us this week and next as we work to get you registered for you the Peer Mentoring course (HED 297A-006). You may have a hold, picked a time that conflicts with other courses on your schedule, or may need to select a new time. Please respond to the messages so we can make sure you are settled before classes start meeting later this month. Once you are registered, you will see the course populate in your D2L.
SECOND-YEAR STUDENTS
You may receive some messages from us this week and next as we work to get you registered for your monthly group meeting. All sessions will be registered for you by next week, based on your selection on the registration form, and you will be able to see the dates/times in Cat Cloud.
Immunization Holds
Don't get left behind! We can't register you for your HED 297A section until you have submitted your immunization records to Campus Health. If you have already done so, awesome! Nothing to do. If not, take care of it today using the link below, or the immunization "to do" in your Student Center. You won't be able to register for courses until it is resolved.
